The City of Albany has approved a residential parking permit system for Center Square (Zone A), which includes Willett Street, State Street, Chestnut Street, Lancaster Street, Jay Street, Hudson Avenue, Hamilton Street, and Madison Avenue, among other blocks. Just when you thought you couldn’t have it all at 352 State Street, now you do!

For $25 the City of Albany will issue permits to the residents of Center Square for exclusive on street parking between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. during the week. Only residents with a permit will be allowed to park on State Street and the surrounding blocks. In addition, there are several options for off street parking at 352 State Street.  There is parking lot between Spring & Washington Ave (right near NoHo Pizza.) This is a city lot and parking is around $50/mo. There are also two garages, 1 located at Key Bank (corner of Lark St. and Washington Ave.), and the other is on Lancaster St. between Dove St. and Lark St. These garages are about $245/mo. However, the Lark St garage has a nights and weekend rate for $99/mo (7pm to 7am, M-F, and all day weekends). Finally, there is a lot across from Bombers owned by the Church that has available parking, at approximately $175/mo.
